Nature brings us this delicious fruit in the summer. Mangoes are divine, versatile and make a delicious smoothie, awesome ice-cream and of course can be eaten on their own.
The green mangoes make aam pana, Chutney and our famous aam ka chunda and aachar. Mangoes have so many varieties and we will have our favorite.
Mangoes, Incidentally, have been named the most widely consumed fruit in the world and are laden with health benefits.
𝟭. 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁: Mangoes contain Fibre, Vitamin A, B6, C and K, Copper,Iron, Calcium, Potassium, Magnesium & folate.
𝟮. 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀 : Since Mangoes are high in Calories, some Diabetics shun it as they feel it can increase their Blood Sugar levels. But Mangoes have a Low glycemic index & contain both Fructose & Glucose which the body digests well. Mangoes have low quantity of Glucose and High level of Fibre keeps Blood sugar levels in check for Diabetic & those trying to Loose weight (Don’t have more than one Mango daily and not after 4 Pm).
